Another close game in the VFL with an even contribution from both the AFL and VFL boys.

Once again big Wilbur worked tirelessly with good assistance from a rotating midfield that included AFL listed players, Hrovat, Webb and Dale.

Loved Hrovat and Webb's games. Opportunity knocks with the injuries to Libba and Macrae.

McLean will be better for the run.

Collins off with shoulder/arm injury - went straight into the rooms and didn't come back on the ground. Played well until he went off. Smith also had a good game along with Lynch.

Hamilton not an AFL option.

Webb must come in based on that effort. Was our best by a fair way, got plenty of it and used it well in general.

Hrovat is building nicely and could be an option as a small mid/forward. Pretty sure he'd give us more than Jong or Stevens at the moment.

McLean took a nice mark reading the flight in the first minute, then got crunched and went quiet. Got up the ground and moved well but personally I think he needs another week at Footscray. He does have that special x factor though, so maybe Bev just chucks him in.

The wind makes 50% of the game almost unwatchable but damn its fun coming home with the wind when a winnable chase is on.

Another Whitten Oval classic finish with the wind having a huge say in the outcome. Having Footscray win kind of takes the edge off last night.

How has Hrovat's kicking been since his return?

In Liberatore and Macrae we've lost two players actually capable of short passing into the forward 50m, and we need to replace them with players who can do the same.
