Gee Lynch looks a likely sort. I can see Roarke & Lynch being elevated in time.

Lynch is exactly what we need more of. He still has to learn the defensive side of the game but he has AFL qualities in speed and a very nice kick indeed. Hannan looks like a nice Tory Dickson replacement for mine, the question is how do we fit them all on the list?

Roarke can stay a rookie for next year, but he elevated for Mitch. Lynch can stay a rookie for two more years. I can't see Bob, Boyd & Morris playing past two more years so we can elevate them as retirements come with our last draft pick. If we want a Hannan or other rookie, we have two picks with Adcock & Goetz gone/going. It can be done.

Having Footscray must be a big part of our ability to bring players in from the VFL with confidence they can stand up and deliver.

I imagine the value of having all 44 players playing the same gameplan at every level is enormous and gives us a great advantage over some of the other AFL clubs

Ben Long has kicked some good and crucial goals this finals series.

The way Lynch just scooped up a ball off the ground at half back and dished off by hand in the one motion was so clean.

A second JJ with his speed, touch and class.

                            Long again, 103-54.

Footscray lead 115-54 at 3quarter time in an impressive display. Good to see senior players in Campbell Roberts Webb R Smith and Williams performing well. Another fine game by skipper Russell. Honeychurch again very impressive whilst Long a relative of Michael Long showed class with 3 goals.
