Draft Competition

With a few days to go before the draft, I thought it would be fun to have a competition. I don't know if this has been done in previous years, so apologies if I'm stepping on any toes.

Anyway, rules are simple. Select 3 draftees for all of our 4 draft picks. If your first selection for any of our picks eventuates, you get 5 points, 2nd selection gets 4 points, 3rd selection gets 3 points.

Most points wins.

What happens if the Dogs bid on a player but don't get him, and he is a player you have nominated?

I reckon the identification of a Dogs selection at a relevant pick deserves points, however not as much as a selection who ends up with us. Simplest solution: award half points (so if a first selection at a pick is nominated by us, but the bid is matched, 2.5 points will be scored rather than 5 points).

Congrats to Chef who gained 4 points for selecting English in the first round. He was the sole point scorer in the comp (outside of scurrilous late editors).

A few of us had Lipinski, but in later rounds so no points (might change rule next year).

All bragging rights to Chef.

I saw BT had English as first selection and at our first pick as well. Didn't that count?
