His work with Campbell wae outstanding. You wouldn't think he's had close to 12 months off.

Bailey Dale at this level is elite. He's got to close that gap between VFL and AFL. I still think he needs to fill out some before making that big step.

Okay, not as good as last week but he must be close to selection consideration. Got plenty of the ball

Morris was just talking to the player sponsors and said his training is ramping up. 3 weeks away if there are no issues

Saw the VFL game. Jack Repath fantastic game. Dicko, Webb, Wally involved in the game. Tommy Campbell made some frustrating errors but how did woofers rate his game for those that watched probably more closely. Was good in the end to come from behind and win this one as well. Might head to WO in 2 weeks for the Saturday VFL game there.

Gowers , number 53 absolutely killed it today.
Wallis is a class above and I cannot believe Jordan Russell didn't play more AFL games he just rules and sets up
                          The back line so well.

Terrific to have so many players starting to get some match conditioning in Wallis, Dickson, Crameri and Redpath - brilliant he kicked 6 on return

Bailey is an interesting one - he is quick, agile, a nice kick - but needs to get stronger, and harder in the contest - but it does look like he could make the grade

Went down early and saw most of this. My impressions:

                              8. Crameri: Had a pretty poor game. Took a couple of nice marks across half forward but otherwise had a shocker and struggled to be effective at all. Not close to selection.
                              15. Campbell: was decent and clunked some nice marks. Didn't partiuclarly stand out though. Good enough to be picked but didn't demand it.
                              19. Webb: Thought he was really quiet in the first hlaf but got some tidy touches in the second half and kicked a nice goal to claim the lead for us.
                              24. Biggs: Classic Biggs game with a lot of in tight handballs. Didn't really find much space but was ok.
                              26. Hamilton: I was actually really pleased with his game. Moved well through traffic, you can see him think through situations and he had some very clever kicks. Reminded me of Gia.
                              28. Prudden: Classic Prudde game. Unremarkable but tidy and accumulated a fair bit of it.
                              29. Dickson: Appeared to be off for a fair portion of the first half, but was influential in the second from limited touches. He might have had 5 touches for that half but would have contributed to goals with at least 4 of them. I didn't get the impression he was near AFL fitness though.
                              31. Dale: BOG by a mile. Accumulated the ball, and was attacking and direct in possesion. Kicked a good goal towards the end, and took some good marks. Was unlucky to be dropped and i don't see how he misses out this week.
                              32. Collins: Was ok. Didn't really have to do much aerially but had a fair few touches across halfback as we slowly moved the ball forward. Played it very safe, think Fletcher Roberts style.
                              33. Young: Appeared to be swapping with NMM, playing back the first half and then forward the second. Took some very nice marks including one on the goalline. Also demnstrated he is hopeless at those set shots where you line up next to the point post.
                              40. Mullenger-McHugh: Swapped with Young, only had a couple of touches but was ok. Attacks the ball in flight and is a dead ringer for Ryan Hargrave.
                              43. Redpath: Was dominant up forward, taking some ripper contested marks and pulled off some really aggressive spoils as well. Looked great.
                              44. English: Very quiet in the first half but was a bit better in the second. Did nothing remarkable though.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

                                Re: Round 4 - 2017, Footscray Bulldogs v Richmond

Thanks Soupaman, I'm sure those who couldn't get there really appreciate your report.

Our Footscray top up players play in the same manner as their Bulldog counterparts. There was one piece of play by Tashevski-Beckwith that really stood out to me when he turned what was shaping as a Tiger attack into a positive rebound for us. He gambled correctly and our players rallied around him.

Prudden's efforts yesterday need a special mention. He used the ball so well and was composed throughout what was a tight game.
Dale and Biggs performed exceptionally well and Wallis has made a remarkable return

Redpath looked slow at times which is to be expected but I though he was stronger with his marking than I normally recall which I think indicates he has worked on improving his skills. Obviously it's really early days for him in his recovery but he will be putting pressure on our senior forwards soon enough if he can keep taking steps forward like yesterday.

Hamilton is one that flies under the radar a bit but his but he was a steady contributor in every quarter. His goal was a good one because he read the play so well.

I like Lewis and Mullenger-McHugh interchanging between forward and defensive duties. Good long term prospects.
