Was very cold ML and it would have been the first time to snow at WO and I was there but enjoyed the Whitten Oval experience. I know the ground pretty well now. Enjoyed the Barkers cafe and sitting up in the Whitten Stand.

I actually thought it was quite a nice day until the last quarter , I'm not one to feel the cold though.
We have been very Lucky this year with the weather at home games.

Noticed Webb only had the 12 disposals... Was he tagged or get get injured?

What sort of role did Clay Smith play? Had 23 touches with 16 tackles.

Also good to see Lipinski had 22 touches, seems to be tracking in the right direction.

The sun came out at times as well so overall was a good day and no rain.

3 weeks before our next home game. Long wait. Hope we get a TV game in between.

Watching the game it was clear Webb was having a quieter day than usual. Not sure what the reason was - he certainly played out the whole game. He may have been subject to a tag given his importance to the VFL side.

Clay Smith and M Boyd really pushed their cases for reinstatement to the AFL team. Clay played midfield and forward and was in everything while Boyd was able to play the quarterback role he was prolific playing in 2016.

Lipinski was part of the centre bounce rotations and this was the first time I have seen him play this role. He was also in the forward half when not in the midfield.

I thought Roberts and Collins were impassable at times. During the third quarter, I remember thinking we wouldn't lose this game as Werribee weren't going to get past these two big guys (plus Young) often enough to score enough to beat us.

I enjoyed watching English played on Preuss (I had the binoculars on most of their contests).

There were quite a few occasions where Preuss just pushed him out the way and had an easy tap out, but English didn't give in. At the next contest he would change his positioning or come to the contest from a different direction. I was really impressed with his smarts considering the 'bulk' of Preuss.
There is no sadder sight than a young pessimist.
