Round 19: Footscray Bulldogs vs Williamstown

2:10pm, August 26th at Whitten Oval

Match is televised on Channel 7 for Victorian viewers, interstate can watch it via https://au.tv.yahoo.com/plus7/live/ and then setting your postcode to a Victorian one.

7th vs 1st; most of the other teams in the top 8 have pretty likely wins so the only team that it's likely that we jump ahead if we win is Essendon since they have Geelong in Geelong. On the plus side we can't be passed by 8th so we're currently looking at an Elimination final vs Essendon at North Port Oval.
Best case scenario is Casey (have Werribee at home so should win), Richmond (vs Coburg so they'll win easily) & Essendon (Geelong in Geelong so most difficult match of the three) all lose and we would jump to fourth again if we win. Even then, us winning and two of them losing jumps us up to Fifth which would give us Collingwood, the Northern Blues or Werribee depending on who wins this weekend.

      Carn the Dogs!

Very good team there on paper.

Might go to some VFL finals as it sounds like we will make it. Hopefully we can win against Willy as the last time we played them at Burbank Oval we got belted by 100 odd points. I think last time we were missing a lot of players.

We had 7 players from our AFL list and English got KO'd in the second quarter. But we still were missing more than a few starting VFL listed players also

It was a bad day at the office.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I count 10 from our senior list, plus a couple of rookies.

Good to see Rohan's son as the 23rd man again.

Yes English got a knock in that game.

Hopefully we are more competitive back at home now.

I meant for the match earlier in the season, we only had

                English
                Hamilton
                Collins
                Prudden
                Mullenger-McHugh
                Roberts

So we had two first year players and only one AFL listed player that played in the midfield. No wonder we got smashed when Williamstown were just bullying kids.

Planning on going to WO tomorrow. Weather looks pretty good. Bob and Matt could be there watching. If I don't go always the TV option for this one.

Looking in the record doesn't say who 69 is.
