Busslinger is going to be a really bloody good player, im sold on him. Just going to take some time to reach his best with his body. Very complete player. Need to start getting him some proper game time, would be a disaster to lose him for opportunity just as he’s getting ready to pop. Think he’s contracted for next year so as long as he’s settling into the team next year should be all good.
Jacques as well has started his career brilliantly.
Not sure why I’ve seen concerns about Hynes athleticism? Looks like a brilliant smooth mover, looks to glide kind of effortlessly and deceptively quick even if he doesn’t necessarily look it IMOComment

Yeah agreed he’s tank is not up to standard but I’ve seen a fair bit of chat about him not looking to have the speed for midfield but I don’t think that’s the case. Looks a real smooth mover for mineComment

VFL Match report: Seagulls blitz Dogs in second half
Footscray has been defeated by Williamstown in Round 8 of the VFL.
Footscray has gone down to Williamstown in a tough contest at DSV Stadium.
The Bulldogs battled hard throughout, but couldn't catch the Seagulls in the 12.12 (84) to 7.14 (56) affair.
Oskar Baker scored the opening goal right away, giving Footscray a strong start, before Williamstown responded quickly to gain the upper hand at the first change.
The second term was a tight contest. Nick Coffield used the ball well under pressure, while Billy Crofts levelled the scores midway through the quarter.
Still, Williamstown kicked away late to lead at half time.
Footscray got stronger after the break, winning important midfield contests to push the ball forward but couldn't capitalise on the scoreboard.
The final quarter was tough, with Williamstown playing the conditions better to run home 28-point winners.
Positives came from Lachlan Smith’s dominance with 35 hit-outs, while Coffield was composed with 22 disposals.
Harvey Gallagher (19 disposals) and Crofts (19 disposals, 11 tackles) kept the pressure on, with Oskar Baker (29 disposals, six marks) and Cooper Craig-Peters (24 disposals, 11 tackles) leading the stats sheet.
The Bulldogs turn their attention to next week’s clash with Geelong at Mission Whitten Oval on Friday 23 May at 5:05pm.

I do wonder how much the afl listed players get out of playing in those conditions. The reality is that the conditions you play in at williamstown are never replicated at afl level. Ballarat and VUWO don’t even go close to the winds at williamstown.
For the sake of player development I’d be a big advocate of far more curtain raises or reserves games being played at marvel on days the afl isn’t on (or even Geelong).Comment
