And Spicer kicks our 12th. Scoreboard out of sync at present.

really like the look of Hynes, makes good decisions and generally uses it well. Once he builds his tank he will be a real weapon as a forward/mid.

Hynes best game for the club for sure, exciting

Hes super classy & composed in the contest, very hard to tackle gets his arms free and puts players into space with his hands & vision.

Moves well, very clean by foot doesn’t waste a disposal and can go forward. Huge upside IMO

Can lack a bit of intensity at times but I think that’s more just he doesn’t have the tank to play with full intensity the whole game - and he’s more of a glider than a burst athlete, but also always looks to have more time than others. Also can get a bit lost at stoppages and lose his man but that’s normal for a young mid.

Also probably Dolans most productive game - he’s just so clean with the footy. I want him in the AFL side he’s such high impact with his disposals & an elite finisher which is what we’re screaming for, I think we just try to carry him in the AFL side to get him up to speed as quick as possible which will pay dividends - realistically the only way you fix your goal kicking is by introducing more high level finishers and I think this guy is one. Guys like McNeil have their strengths but will never be that player

He was prominent early and then settled into a workmanlike role. 20 possessions plus 5 marks. In all, a solid game.

Gardner has had a really good season off the back of a very solid preseason. He has been very unlucky not to play seniors.

                              My takeaways:

Gardner - was flawless. Deserves an afl recall. His a new man in white boots.

Coffield - too good for the level. Moving well. Should come in for Duryea.

                              L.Jones - Didn’t put a foot wrong. Exceptional also.

Jaques - good first quarter but thought his footskills were unusually poor at times. Also thought there were a couple of contests he needed to be stronger in.

Buss - Had a very good night. Thought his ball use was a highlight. He was more damaging that usual.

L.Kennedy - Really like how the club is trying to improve his forward craft. The stat sheet doesnt look great, but thought he got in some good positions and wasn’t used. The VFL guys don’t really flick the handballs around. It’s more surge footy. Probably need to play with a bit more vigour as a forward though.

C.Hynes - Probably his most workman like game I’ve seen. Good performance, think he has another level to go by the end of the season.

Scott - Sounds like he got hurt. Found the footy but didn’t think he used it very well.

Dolan - probably had his best night at vfl level. The team has to work to get his hands on the footy more. His ball use is brilliant. The small forward role at vfl level is very hard.

Gallagher - Thought he was the best mid on the night when the game was up in the air. Took the game on and used the footy well.

L.Smith - Won the ruck without being dominant. Would like to have another Ruckman at vfl level so he can improve his forward craft. To get afl ready he needs to be able to contribute valuable minutes forward.

Poulter - Thought his ball use was poor. Could’ve had a big night if his footskills were on

Great summary Bigdog. My only difference with it is around Poulter disposals but I'm splitting hairs.
