Tough day in the end for the Bulies - they were still in it until the 18 min mark of last qtr, but didn't have the quality possessions that the Cats were able to manufacture in the end.

Need to take into account the Footscray team only having the 8 AFL listed players, so a lot of new faces this week running out for the 'Scray and having to jell in a fairly even contest for most of the day.

Player performances.....I thought the three big guys in Campbell, Roughy and Trengove had the greatest impact on the contest. Young, Roberts and NMM were constantly under pressure with a fairly big Cats forward line (that included Crameri who had a fair day out for the Cats).

I haven't checked the stats, but wouldn't be surprised to find Biggs having some good numbers, but I reckon he butchered every third possie, either turning it over, or taking the wrong option. Don't think he would be extra happy with his game today.

id be surprised if Greene had more than a handful of possessions - not his day (although it was perfect weather for a leading forward).

Roarke Smith didn't play, neither did Prudden (inj again!)
