Just on Sellwood's game so far - his stats to half time show 10 possessions (4 kicks/6 hb) with 2 tackles and 2 marks. He will need a couple of games at least to get used to his new team mates but he doesn't look altogether lost out there.
There is no sadder sight than a young pessimist.

A bit more run than Busslinger could be a very good find .
Potential great mid season draft find from the early signs.

It’s been full of ball handling fumbles but we have got a few more passages together to get goals. Interested to see if we run away with it as I believe we are more professional and they seem to have a lot of hard triers but not up our standard .

FT - Dogs win 15.12 to 12.13 - Dolphins had a better last qtr. Garcia with 39 touches (25 handballs), Buss with 27, Gags and Kennedy with 21 each.

Very underwhelming last quarter , we were hanging on most of it .
Positives were Garcia got plenty, Sellwood looked good.
Scott got a run but did look rusty.
                  4 points banked.

Lachie Smith hurt his shoulder earlier in game and shared ruck duties with Cam Owen and Gardner - may need a rest to properly recover.

I saw a few contests when he attacked the ball and man hard looked desperate, I think woofers will like his style. He has enough speed how was his kicking?

Have we got any bayside dogs that went to this game?

One thing I noticed on the TV was it appeared Sellwood seemed like an aggressive communicator. He was directing quite a bit of traffic.

I may be wrong, but it looked like Sellwood had a go or asked the question of Baker when he didn't pass it to him when he was in the clear and Baker kicked it out of full back and gave it back to Frankston which resulted in a goal.

Sellwood needs to change his hairstyle. All he will do currently is make Busslinger look like he is covering more ground.

Yeah I didn’t watch super closely last night but whenever I saw him he was definitely desperate with his attack on the ball and man which I loved. Also I was under the impression he was a left footer but I think I saw him wheel onto his right more often, ie even from marks etc so he’s very comfortable on both.

Dont think he was super clean aerially or by foot but we know that’s usually a strength for him so was more excited to see how quickly he got up to speed.

His speed and aerial game, specifically his determination to affect the contest is EXACTLY what we’ve been crying out for in defence to partner with JOD & Lobb. Bevo will absolutely love him IMO. Super excited about this, would be massive to fill such a big hole mid season and finally maybe be able to settle a line up down back for some cohesion which has been missing.

JOD, Lobb, Sellwood with a mix of Dale, Freijah, Williams, JJ sounds much much better on paper than what we’ve been trialling. With Buku in the team too as 3rd tall fwd, opens up a lot more flexibility and stability in the side.

Very early days but I’m super excited about this
