JJ has done enough from what I have seen, should play next week.

Crofts has been a very consistent player all year . Seems to be a solid midfielder who doesn’t get pushed around and his disposal seems above average .
Croft seems to be a better forward than anywhere else so where would he fit in with our forward line ?
Garcia lets himself down sometimes with disposal but I guess when you’re getting it over 35 times a game and in traffic it’s hard to keep him out of the AFL .
JJ and Buss just doing what they need to.
Scott getting game time which is good.
hopefully Kennedy and Sellwood are ok.
A good win, moved us up the ladder and puts a gap between us and the teams below us .
Good old fashioned 8 point game .

Garcia lots of disposals but some wasted . Does he get a chance next week or is the week too short

With Sanders out of today’s game with an illness, suspect we need to find a spot for him first for the Sydney game

The headbands wearing narcissist guy supposedly amongst the favourite for the Brownlow goes at like 50%

So yeah, likely deserves a crack.

I only missed the first 5 minutes of this game and was impressed by a number of players.
                          Poulter's kicking skills were terrific
Busslinger was impassable but as some others have pointed out he typically prefers to switch the footy from side to side rather kicking it long
Smith needs to take some marks.
Baker undoes a lot of good work with the occasional poor decision.
                          JJ has to be considered.

My only doubt about Busslinger is the fact that he tends to go side ways alot , but the rest of his game is pretty good ,as Dogs 24/7 said was impassable .
If we can get guys like JJ and Dale running past him when he takes marks then he can hand off to these guys and creat run out of our back line .
Poulter is im sad to say one of those guys who are just a bit to good at VFL level , but just not good enough at the next level , handy depth .
Baker omg he runs hard and gets it alot but then one of his mistakes spoils everything , one of his kicks after getting a hard ball get and running away totally alone passes to a team mate 20 meters away with no pressure on his kick , kicks it out of bounds 2 meters over the team mates head , just not good enough at senior or this level.
Croft is young and plays in spurts hopefully as he gains experiance he will stay in the game for longer periods , still cant make my mind up where his best postion is , would love it if he became a key back .
Garcia has to have another chance sure he gives it away a few times but he gets it so many times , and i think some of his turn overs are because he gives it to guys at this level that just arnt good enough to win the 50/ 50 balls .

Is Lachie Smith priming himself for a debut in 2026? He gives away a lot of frees (but gets lots of frees too) in the ruck and isn't the most versatile ruckman... but he gets a good amount of the football and seems to have massively improved his ruck craft. He would have to be in the handful of best ruckman in the VFL right now (4th for total hitouts, has the 4th highest scoreboard impact out of the top 10 hitout ruckman), another preseason and surely he can work on his forward craft a bit more and get a shot in the team? What do you guys think?

From the little I've seen of him he seems to be morphing into a Mumford style ruck. Not the tallest, not the most impactful around the ground, but a big body that can hustle to the ball and his ruckcraft seems pretty solid. Though I wouldn't say he has that ground level impact Mumford or Hudson had so he's still lacking an extra element to his game.

That said I've only seen little bits of the VFL matches so would be interested to hear other thoughts.
