Thanks Hose. I don't think I could have taken another come from in front loss in person. Watching us snatch defeat from the jaws of victory is losing its appeal.

I'm going to watch Parkside. It's too nice to stay inside and I don't barrack for them so at least I should just enjoy the footy. They've got a couple of decent players too. Not close to VFL level but fun to watch when they get the ball in their hands.

Wayne Skipper was playing for Caroline Springs. He may be a bit older and slower but the drop down in standard doesn't make him a better player!

Footscray were unable to withstand a late charge from Collingwood, falling 32-points short at VU Whitten Oval on Saturday.
The ‘Scray led at every change, taking an 11-point lead into the final break, but Collingwood had the breeze in the final term kicking eight goals to Footscray’s one, to run out 15.5 (95) to 9.9 (63), victors.

Will Hayes (28), Mitch Wallis (27) and Lukas Webb (26) were busy in the middle for the ‘Scray.

Fletcher Roberts and Mitch Honeychurch (2) hit the scoreboard, while Josh Wallis, Lukas Webb, Fergus Greene, Mitch Wallis, Will Hayes contributed with one each.

Footscray now sit 3-4 after seven rounds.

The ‘Scray will regroup ahead of their clash with Essendon at VU Whitten Oval next Saturday at 6.00pm.

In defence to Footscray there was no wind until half way through the third and it picked up in the last to the end Collingwood were kicking.

I had a little bit of a giggle yesterday , chatted to Bont and Gowers at the game , Bonts love is Basketball and one of his sisters still plays at Eltham , who he tried to see when he can , but he said he basketball is just a dream now.
The giggle was when I chatted to Billy about Friday nights game for about 10 minutes and how he enjoys being at the club, afterwards I put out my hand and said my names John he shook my hand and said "Billy"

You should have said to him, he needs to get out of the way when Boyd is flying for a mark, and he should try and crumb the ball if it is brought to ground.

If they are nice enough to talk to a stranger the last thing I'm going to do is criticise them.
I'm sure that stuff is bought up in meetings, personally I rather talk to them about outside of the game , they get enough of footy talk I imagine.
Great thing about VFL games is they are so easy to get to know, standing around with all us lemmings you just go up and have a chat.
Billy still lives with his dad/family, Andy who is now in the finance game and he relaxes with golf as a past time.
The main thing I got out of reading between the lines is he loves the club compared to previous clubs.
Very good club and team.
So all this rubbish that journos come out with is just that.
Also to be noted is Mitch Wallis didn't play as he has tendon problems in his little finger, they didn't want to risk it at the time of picking the team but obviously came up better to play VFL ( with which he played well).
English had a moon boot on, I didn't see Bevo or libber at the game this time.

They should let the public know about things like Wallis's finger. All the stupid talk on radio and social media about him being dropped could have been avoided.

Collingwood were 6-1 with an over 150% percentage and had a bunch of AFL list players as well so it was never going to be easy.
