Sam Darcy is taking the AFL by storm and his younger brother Will is also available to the Bulldogs as a father-son prospect this year.

Will – a 198cm tall who is the son of former Bulldogs champion Luke – won a national draft combine invite largely on the back of his work at school football with Scotch College.
He has played at both ends of the ground during school football and four games for the Oakleigh Chargers in the Coates Talent League this year.
Kobe Williams is a father-son prospect for Hawthorn as the son of 2008 premiership player Mark, but is also part of the Bulldogs’ NGA program.
Williams debuted for Footscray at VFL level last weekend.

Levi West is the son of Dogs legend Scott and younger brother of current Bulldogs forward Rhylee.
The midfielder has played some good school football with Carey Grammar this year, while also featuring as a bottom-age player for the Calder Cannons in the Coates Talent League.
Khaled El Souki is a small forward who has had a big bottom-age year for the Western Jets in 2025.

This NGA stuff is really a mess I thought it was for kids who had no pathway to footy unless they got a leg up .
How is a son of a very good footballer in this ? Even Jeff Whites son .
I also don’t understand how the father’s club isn’t taking them under their wing .
Also what’s the point of another club choosing a father /son from another club and bringing him up only to lose him when he chooses his dads club

I'll check the VFL thread, but how did he play and how is he rated for the draft?

Wow I've clearly been on another planet, I thought Will Darcy was a year or two away. Given their has been little to no hype on him thus far, is he not as highly touted as Sam was at the same age?

They have been hiding him as much as they can in the school footy .
he did kick the winning goal in his first game for the chargers . It might have well been Sam with the likeness and body movements

With word that the F/S might be changed to not allow any in the first round it's hard to get too excited about more Darcys and Wests.

Don't worry though the northern academies will still have access to their talent so that solves it I guess?

Will Darcy definitely isn’t a first round pick. If he didn’t have the Darcy name, he’d be rookie at best. Having said that, he looks a late developer.

Crofty’s twin as a mature age Category B in a few years time has me more excited.
