It's an interesting suggestion, are you saying he wants the money more than success? Surely if we were to bring in someone who could make a difference some players will take a bit less because they want to be a part of a successful club.

Everybody wants money. Im sure he has enough faith in his ability that he'd think he'd be successful no matter where he goes.

I would hope the powers that be are doing their due diligence on Tom Lynch (Gold Coast Tom). If the rumours are true and he wants to play/live in Melbourne, then I think he would be a great fit for our young list.

No doubt he's talented. But would we get our investment returned with our poorly skilled inside 50's? Boyd & Schache might be very talented forwards, but we don't know yet. If he's watched us, why would he pick us over say a Richmond and their midfield? And we'd have to give up pick 5 and a player, meaning no picks inside the top 40 (while we try to rebuild) unless free agency compo gets us into the second round. Seems a lot to work through.

Kent would be a fantastic pickup - proven to be dangerous forward but is definitely not without edge to his game, and is probably a more realistic target than Gaff or Wines.

            Hard pass on Hall.

West Coast rumoured to have offered Gaff a 6 year deal.

Love the wa boys but if we target Kent and he spends half his time either injured or in the VFL, well, that would be a reflection of his career to this point. Most players who are in and out of one team end up being ‘in and out’ of their second team as well!

Sorry BAD I’m not playing along. We need to save our cash for Bont and Naughton.

                        Agreed.
And if what I’ve heard about him is true, he shouldn’t be on any AFL list.

Are any of these players worth looking at as they seem in and out of their teams:
                          Dom Sheed (West coast)
                          Dom Tyson (melbourne)

both high draft picks , and can't seem to get a game due to depth of their teams.

Both highly rated in their draft year. Don't know too much about their current reasons for not being able to get a game in their team.

Also, Toby Green has taken salary cut to accomodate GWS list management. Could be worth asking if he wants a better paid contract with us ?

Sheed doesn't appear to have kicked on and even with West Coasts injury list has been dropped. Perhaps
Tyson appears to be good enough, worth having a look at.

If we move both Wallis & Dahl, we can at least sell to young mids from other teams the opportunity to play serious midfield time. But working out how to trade for them is the harder part.
