Ok - I know it was just a practice match and it was the VFL, but...that was as gutsy a performance as i have seen for some time. With players down on the bench, we saw some real effort by boys like West, Lipper, Hayes, Dale, Green, La Young, Roarke, Porter who willed us over the line in the end. Sweet was big hearted as he rucked solo all over the ground in the last. Some great support also by the VFL listed players. My better players - Trengove before he went off, West, Hayes, Lipper second half huge, Dale got better as game progressed, La Young great all day, Greene and finally Sweet. Porter has a good game and Roarke worked hard all day. Not a great game by Lynch unfortunately, while Fletch not favoured by the conditions or his 3rd qtr injury. Question for selectors - were Cavarra and Vandermeer underdone(?). Looking forward now to the VFL season proper.

Cavarra was injured for the past month or two. Don't know about VanderMeer but he's a WIP anyways.

happy to hear Dale is back, got through and kicked a couple.

Hope we see Lippa back in the senior side soon. We just need to keep pumping games into him at senior level.

Great to hear. As I have mentioned he was really good in the latter part of 2017 but just didn’t fire in 2018. Hopefully he will build on his 2017 form. Potential to be a quality forward.
