Yeah really pleasing. As I've always said, I love how Bevo messes around with players in different positions, even if most of the time it comes across as me actually hating it.Comment

Re: Round 5 – 2019 Footscray Bulldogs v Casey
I only saw the end of the third and the last so obviously only a small snapshot.
Young was great, looks a different player to the shaky version we saw in defence in the AFL earlier in the season.
Schache got his hands to quite a few balls but they weren’t sticking. Was running up and down the ground.
Dale played, look ok.
Boyd returned to the field, was playing forward, didn’t have a heap of involvements.
Thought Lipinski and West looked solid in the middle. Roberts did some nice things in defence.Comment

If Boyd is kicking three on limited minutes while he is super underdone, I can’t wait to see what he can build to in the 8 or so weeks till he’s back.Last edited by The Adelaide Connection; 05-05-2019, 08:06 PM.Comment

Re: Round 5 – 2019 Footscray Bulldogs v Casey
Dogs Defeat Demons
The Footscray Bulldogs are back on the winners list, after an impressive 17-point win over the Casey Demons, this Sunday afternoon at Casey Fields.
A three-goal haul from Tom Boyd (13 hit outs, four marks) and two goals each from Ben Cavarra (four marks, one inside 50) and Ryan Gardner (one tackle, two hit outs) granted the Dogs with their third win of the 2019 VFL season.
Bailey Williams enjoyed a standout performance, gathering 29 disposals, five marks and four inside 50’s, while developing midfielder Rhylee West brought his usual tough brand of football – laying ten tackles and booting one goal.
Pat Lipinski (24 disposals, one goal, eight tackles) and Lukas Webb (19 disposals, five inside 50’s) continued their solid VFL form, while Lewis Young impressed in the ruck and forward line, collecting 31 hit outs and six inside 50’s.
Developing forward Josh Schache provided pressure in the Dogs’ forward line, laying seven tackles and taking four marks, while Liam Nash proved vital for the travelling side, with seven tackles and a goal.
The Footscray Bulldogs will head to the MCG next Sunday to face the Box Hill Hawks.
