Saw the 2nd half , completely blew it by dumb dumping the ball forward
Fell for the old three card trick with a strong wind of just bombing it

Willy had 35 free kicks for the game & at least 5 50m penalties. Dogs had 27 free kicks.

Over 60 for the match is just umpiring gone mad.

This was a very disappointing display by Footscray highlighted by giving away too many undisciplined 50 metre free kicks. With scores level at half time it was the better disposal of Willy and far better use of the strong wind that gave them victory. Meese clearly won in the ruck against the Bulldogs Sweet. Bailey Williams was again very impressive putting him once again in contention for a senior recall. Trengrove also played well suggesting a likely return next week.

Good to lose one when you have had a good run, the more wins you have the closer you are to your next loss, we just got that out the way :-)

Umpiring woeful. Let the game flow for goodness sake. La Young the standout for me.Williams and Trengove ok. Gowers tried to pull the team up too-great effort Billy. We were desperately in need of another 1 to 2 midfielders. Would be nice to get Jong back. Also missed Prudden’s leadership. Cavarra quiet and we also missed Scott in forward half. Live to fight another day though so hopefully Gia can keep the boys positive. Not sure Sweet is our answer to a backup afl ruck. Not sure why we held onto Porter either-hope I am proved very wrong on both opinions.

We fell for the three card trick and let them crowd us when we were kicking with the wind but when they were kicking with it it was usually only ever them at the fall of the ball.

We used the wrong wing a lot when we attacked too. The outer wing on a windy day is the defensive wing because the ball gets blown around. We should have used the other wing because it's protected by the grandstands. Willy worked it out after halftime and kept the ball on the outer wing in the third and then used the attacking wing in the last.
