I'm going to put on my Geelong hat on now. I know all finals are usually played at that shithole but why? GF is played at Marvel so why can't they play at WO or Punt Rd etc. Huge leg up for Port year after or year.

Yeah, it's not like any of the other grounds won't be able to meet the required capacity that Port Melbourne oval could - it's VFL FFS. No reason why it should be at one Team's home ground if it doesn't have to be.

It's a reasonable question to ask as it's not the premier ground in the league. It's really nothing special. To be fair though we had a home game and blew it.

After a loss it sounds like sour grapes but 2 vs 7 and you play on 7th's home deck. Tomorrow the games is played there as well. Surely we can give teams games on their home ground in the VFL. It's not like huge crowds are going through the gate and supporters will be locked out.

Again it's notnsour grapes. We would have lost at WO, Port wanted it more. It just doesn't make sense to me why they have to play there. Why do Essednon have to play there tomorrow? What is the reason for it?

Didn’t see today’s game but I was a little worried watching the Willy game...not sure he liked it too physical.

I played against enough previously AFL listed players to know that if the team around them or the conditions aren't flash the difference between them and a regular state league/ammo player isn't huge unless they're clearly good enough to be playing at the top level.

Playing a final at Port is a huge advantage to Port. Whether we should have accounted for ourselves better doesn't really come into this side oft he discussion.
