Sam is on his way to being one of the best List Managers in the AFL in my opinion. I'm sure he will one day go past that position to higher office.

We have a good recruiting team and I'm confident we will continue to make the right decisions

We are well placed now and in the short term future with our playing list as long as we remain proactive.

This is where he will show his true skill , at reading on what is offer to trade;
1. Trade in for needs from other clubs ,,sniff out who is available : Keith & Bruce
2. Trade out draft picks for them or trade up into draft order
3. Exchange / trade for future
4. Juggle f/s factor
5. Work out the maths for draft points ( which is beyond my simplistic view of draft order)

Go get them sam

Really interesting view Doc. Personally I’ve been so impressed w Power from his ability to do a press conference and say nothing (deliberately) for 10 minutes to the complex list management he is able to grapple.

Very impressed with what I’ve seen so far.

Only 'great'. One bloke thinks about playing and gets injured. The other kicks 36-50 goals a year and 5th best contested mark in the comp. To get effectivly a straight swap is a level of competence we've not been blessed with in a list manager. I'll go with '*!*!*!*!ing great'.

Quite contented that we gave a bit more than ideal to get the Keath deal done because we owed it to the player to get it done
He committed to us early and the onus was on us to get it done
