Conditions are quite good, a far cry from some experiences at Williamstown over the years.
They might not necessarily be first choice players but JJ, Crozier, Schache and Marra are good to come into the senior side as required.

Not sure what Cordy is doing out there

We should consider moving him to defence and moving Vanderheuval up the ground as the second ruck. We only have two players that are close to a similar size to Downie and he's one of them.

Clearly the MC sees Cordy's AFL role (if playing) as fwd/2nd ruck over the near future so they want him there at VFL level too.

JJ is back in the team as soon as he's ready, he gives us a point of difference across the half forward line.

I just wish we could have someone be competitive in the ruck, there's been quite a few times where Downie has gotten an easy touch down to a Seagull for an inside 50. At least we're pressuring the inside 50s so that they're more floaty and not bullets.

Darcy might be a little too slow to be a defender for mine, I would be playing him forward now this side has better quality in it.

That extra reach than say Schache has would be very handy at the top level, the nice skills help too.

Eventually he'll be a forward-ruck but he's just too skinny at the moment. He'd be getting mauled by Dowie out there.
