I get to see Oakleigh a bit and while he doesn't get enough of the ball to make him a genuine top 15 type pick he can influence games with some fewer touches than most.
    You’ve walked into a question now…

Say Ashcroft & Fletcher go top 12. Our live pick, is pick 13.

GWS pick 15 slides into Pick 17. They are happy to trade us for Brisbane’s Future First (and steak knives if required). Would you trade in to get him if we was an available at 17 and not likely to slide to out now Pick 23.

Davey Jr this year, or a future late pick?

I'd be very interested in getting talented players too us earlier than later but do we have a strong enough hand for next season after losing some 3rd round currency?

If we had kept pick 30 this year I think 11, 21, 30 and 39 allowing for the shuffles would have been a terrific spot.

If we could get another early selection and we still had some players we rated this year I'd take that risk.

Name names G. GWS offer us Pick 17. Which kid/s at 17 gets your blessing to make a bold move?

Brayden George if he was still available would peak my interest. He may not play next year but he is very talented player.
Doc's boy Weddle could be worth it and getting ahead of West Coast for Jones or Allan could be a bonus.

Let me have a closer look.

Thanks G. Thinking more on it, if GWS get pushed out to Pick 17, then Brisbane’s Future First (maybe a future fourth, or Brisbane’s Future Second for their Future Third) is a more tempting offer for them and smooth their top picks across both drafts better. Better First Round Pick in a stronger Draft highly likely. And it means they traded Pick 21 (and a future pick/pick trades/upgrades) for Brisbane’s Future First (maybe a future fourth thrown in) which is a ok return on investment for them. If we rate the kid enough, could be a really live option.

What's Phillipou's hurt factor like? He definitely handballs like a Western Bulldogs mid.

He's got depth in his kicking and kicks long goals.

If Phillipou is still there at our pick, we have to take him. Ollie Hollands would have to be next in line. Would love to get both.

Ed Allan intrigues me as a 194cm mid who seems to be a late developer, sound familiar?
Obviously has elite speed and an amazing leap on him as per combine results but what stood out for me was that his kicking looked better than average as a natural RIGHT footer but what impressed me the most was a LEFT handed long-range handball from congestion to a teammate in space that got there low, hard and flat. Can anyone who may have seen him more often shed some light on his capabilities. Looks very Bont like to me.

He looks to be a very enticing option and I suspect West Coast will want him at pick 20.
From what I have seen, and that his combine results underlines, is that he should have a lot of clubs interested in him.

He might be right foot left hand, I have that particular affliction.
But it was good to stooge opponents.

I know nothing about these kids but Lewis Hayes reads like an interesting prospect. Nearly 200cm, neat with the footy and gets a lot of it.

He's a good prospect and in a draft that doesn't have a lot of taller players he should be highly sort after.

So who should we be considering at pick 21?

I'd like us to consider Brayden George (even though he may not play next season) Josh Weddell, Ed Allan or Darcy Jones.
Perhaps a longer shot selection might be Harry Barnett.
