The top 3 players for Draft Night Two?

Who are the best three players, with the third best coming to us Tuesday night? (excluding Davey)

    Ryan?
    Hayes?
    Clarke?
    George?
    Cowan?
    Hotton?

    From my perspective

    George
    Hotton
    Barnett

I think we might go for Clarke.

Clarke may help us solve another problem we have

Clarke might not be as talented as George and a few others, but looks very energetic - all good small forwards need that. Looks like he'd fit well with Weightman and co.

Per my live trade thread, if we can force Essendon to sell its pick after ours, to us, it’s possible we could land George & Clarke to add to Buss. Would be pumped to bring in the best KPD, second rated small forward and a genuine x-factor player.

Brayden George would be a coup but both GWS & WCE have been linked with him.

Clarke, Ryan, Cowan, Barnett, Hotton all still available so we have some great options to choose from.

This is the question for our team.

Is Pick 16-20 next year (F1 Bris) worth parting with to get the GWS Pick/George? (GWS have to exchange their 3rd for our 4th too)

Alternatively, the going rate to upgrade from our pick into GWS pick is a F2 and a F4 back (see Dev Robertson pick trade). Is George worth trading Pick 24 and F2 to secure him with a F4 and losing Clarke or others as a result? Maybe trying to upgrade Pick 39 into their Pick 34 too.

I’m not sure I see the strong case from the outside. Targeting Essendon’s Pick 25 and hoping for a Clarke and Hotton/Hayes combo might be a better outcome. Bring in two young defenders with Keath, Jones & Bruce all getting on. Bring in an energetic partner for Weightman. Or if we could get a FA KPD next year, maybe look at Barnett as the best ruck option to develop as Lobb ages and Sweet isn’t a sure thing.

I’m all in on making sure Davey gets bid on early and we have a good offer for Don’s pick 25 to more I’m looking at the ways the early action could go.
