    Any thoughts on Goater?

Has a great name for a highlights real.

Is he brothers of one of the afl listed players ?

Well played dogs. dominant and able to handle everything the tigers threw at them. Team effort helped by a lot of experience.

Yes-I?m on wing near hat goal and it was a beauty. Goater?s mark & goal prior was lovely too. PS. I like your motto under your signature-wish more dog?s fair weather supporters took note.

Toby McLean a lazy 45 possessions for Footscray! Good to see he responded to his demotion. He's too good a player to languish at VFL level. In the right mood, Toby has a lot to add to our AFL best 22 team. A few weeks of this form and he'll be primed for a strong 2023 in the seniors.

Played really well, worked hard and in every contest throughout the 4 quarters

Did he look to be covering the ground with a bit more pace?

Only watched the stream, but to my eyes no. Plodding but the conditions suited him. Looked like he only had one gear, but got to every contest. More diesel than petrol. But too tough and smart for this level.

I am kinda surprised we are not playing Toby on the wing, given he knows how to find the ball. As there is limited midfield time for him at the moment, with Garcia, West and Treloar ahead of him.

Is he lacking in certain attributes, that do not allow him to be sustainable or beat opposition players there ? I always thought he had pace ( from memories of the 2016 final) but I have not seen him live running or across the general field of play.

Could we use him as a tagger , like a DeBoer type ?

Gotta wonder how he’s not playing ahead of McCoomb.

I’d be wondering but I saw how poor he was in the first two games which makes me wonder less. McComb was poor today, but man the other competitors for that spot haven’t exactly grabbed it.
