Round 16 Footscray Bulldogs v Collingwood Friday 7 July 2023 ? 3:05 PM
Re: Round 16 Footscray Bulldogs v Collingwood Friday 7 July 2023 ? 3:05 PM
Sam Darcy just grabbed Collingwood by the throat and choked the life out of them. He was fantastic!
It was disappointing to fall away mid game. We were sloppy with ball in hand while they ran, carried and hit targets. It was an arm wrestle in the last and Darcy's heroics got us over the line.
On face value we were well represented by our listed players. Cleary looked really good off half back, looked composed and made good decisions. Buss played his best game, still a little off with setting up transition, didn't notice that in 2nd half though. He's a chance to debut at some stage this season if he keeps that up. Buku solid up forward again, caused problems for defence and worried their defence most times it was around him. The LTI returnees looked OK, rusty of course but still promising if we can keep them healthy. Gallagher and Bedendo I'd like to see get some AFL time, both look composed at this level. There was a VFL listed player who I really thought was great but can't remember his name. Had a number in the 50s.

The player in the 50s is probably Chatfield, former NGA kid with us who has been developing really well.

Chatfield looks capable in all the games i've seen this year. Good overhead and smart.
He has been thrown around everywhere in the VFL this year, he's predominantly a forward but he has also played a lot of midfield minutes and even been thrown back as well. He's certainly good enough to be on an AFL list.

How long has he had it for I wonder. To the guys who saw his comeback game with a handful of behinds, was this thing present. Or has he created it to get accurate?
