    Big win.

Khamis with another small bag of 4.2 (33 for the season so far) and Sweet with another 55 hit outs, 18 touches.

Hopefully they can get us some fourth round upgrades or better to improve our draft points.

Casey and Brisbane done and dusted, we have officially avoided the Wild Card round.

At least we’ve got vfl side to look forward to. Bravo Coach S. Edge for turning season around.

Maybe Edge should be offered Rohan Smith’s vacant coaching position?

Sweety just about played his best match since I have been watching him. Impressed.

He did play well, but the opposition was pretty much non-existent which is the issue when you're playing non-affiliated clubs with only semi-professional players.

The whole comp needs to be re-vamped.

                    Agreed.

Naismith was out, as well Port's second ruck.

He had a very good match against Meek the week before as well.

Hawthorn, Sydney, Collingwood, Richmond (as well as Williamstown and Werribee who defeated Sydney) 100 or more ranking points.
geelong 99 and north melb 92

He has done ok against affiliated clubs. It is not the opposition that is relevant in this discussion, it is the player (again).

Credit to him, he seemed to out perform Meek when they played eachother. That's an oppenent with some decent AFL performances IIRC. I think the only game he had his colours lowered was the GC match.

He also did better around the ground than what I have seen before.

Using ranking points to prove a point in an argument is fraught with danger given English had 143 points against Hawthorn and in post posters views (including mine) he performed well below par.

It is the only way to get a neutral and informed summary. It is not perfect but 100+ points is probably a better contribution than 90.

English can build his total by being unmatched around the ground with his agility and marking. Sweet builds his total with his physicality in ruck duels and protecting his midfielders at the drop of the ball . Pity a struggling team cannot find a way utilise both sets of talent.
