2024 Scray squad locked in

Footscray has finalised its list ahead of the 2024 VFL season.
10 new faces have been added to the squad, including four former AFL-listed players in Trent Bianco (Collingwood), Rhett Montgomerie (Essendon), Cameron Owen (Sydney) and Phoenix Spicer (North Melbourne).

Tommy McRae (Casey) and Billy Crofts (Geelong VFL) have swapped colours this season, while Cooper Dahms signs on from the NTNFL.

2023 Western Jets captain Diesel Moloney, former Northern Knight Charlie Naish and Chan Hargraves from Port Melbourne Colts have also joined the Kennel.

Josh Chatfield, Jarrod Gilbee and Sam Willoughby headline the group of returning Bulldogs, along with Chance Doultree who re-signs after spending last year with Norwood in the SANFL.

Footscray will host GWS at Mission Whitten Oval in their 2024 season opener next Sunday 24 March from 12.05pm.

Footscray going into 24 with a smaller squad.

11 new players (incl Doultree, returning after a year at Norwood) as highlighted in BAD's post.

14 have departed; Drummond, Sullivan, Garner, Macisaac, Goater, Rantall, Bromell, Harris, Ballantyne, Macpherson, Lewis, Patullo, Maki, Tallariti

Sullivan joins the list of Footscray players to be elevated to an AFL list. He has joined Collingwood.

Sorry to see Goater leave to go back to suburban footy. Thought he could be an AFL player. I would also have liked to see Macisaac and Lewis more this year. Lewis particularly, but he has joined Casey and apparantly doing very well.
