Croft moved to defence part way through Q3. Took a nice contested grab. Like a beanpole. Will have to beef him up like we did with English.

I'm really keen to play him in defence ASAP what ever needs to happen.
Edge just answered my question, he sent Croft back and sent Gardy forward. As I said whatever it takes

What do you think about Sanders atm Josie? Getting plenty of it and generally good with it but I would love to see him work harder defensively I reckon he is well off AFL standard at this aspect atm.

That’s been my take on Sanders from the start, needs to run and chase with more urgency not just dawdle around packs getting the odd ball.

Sanders has lovely disposal and seems to know where ball is heading at clearances.

To my eye tends to handball when tackled when I think it is s sometimes better to hold it, even at risk of HTB (guessing this will come with more experience). I?d like to see him tackle more. Sounds harsh but I think I?d really like a bit more grunt (Libba style).

Sometimes I think he is a bit like a seagull waiting for a chip whilst he is waiting outside packs (perhaps he is under instruction to do so). I think he has it in him to be an excellent player, just needs more bulldog mongrel!!

I really like what I see of Frejiah. Hard at it, nice mark, great size, good speed. He and Clarke might be next to debut of our young ones.

Freijah is a player just a great size to play off the back flank with a good blend of speed and skill. He will be best 22 lock within time while Croft just took another lovely intercept mark .

It's just great to see some young players running around with clear AFL traits rather than players that are limited that provide solid effort.

He isn’t a player with speed in my view , he is an accumulater, he also wouldn’t have a clue who his opponent is. His disposal is A1 though. He is our Macrae replacement.
It’s why it would be sad to see Smith go as he is fast and will burst , both together could make a hell of a team.
                  We need speed.

FT Dogs 16.9 Academy 7.8 Croft a better option down back, Gardy with 3 goals playing fwd. Think Sanders would be happy with that run around today.
There is no sadder sight than a young pessimist.

Freijah had that Petracca look about him.

Frejiah has impressed me today could be a JJ replacement down the track. Mind you it was against kids so how much can you take out of the game.

I'd put money on Clarke making it at AFL level. He's going to be a pretty complete small forward and oppo will bloody hate him.

It’s exactly what Sanders needs , time in the vfl getting possessions, practicing.
Gardiner you can see why he is a coaches favourite he is just so reliable no matter where you put him . He won’t set the house on fire but you know he will always give a contest, making it 50/50 at worst.

Agree Ledge - Sanders & Smith would be great together. Hopefully Saunders becomes as determined as Macrae is right now (his tackles have been bone crunching). Then we?d really have a gun.

Like the Petracca comparison for Frejiah. Fingers crossed. He looks like a player that could play in multiple positions.
