The first 5 minutes were bad. Thought he got better body position after the first 5. His also up against a very experienced body with the ball coming in quick and frequently.

I like that he wants the ball and chains up. His never going to be the number 1 key defender at afl level though. Not big enough or athletic enough.

Agree. We are doing ok this quarter except we have no tall forwards and our delivery into F50 has been dreadful. A good game to scrub it in low/along ground for Arty & Clarke but it seems that’s not part of the game plan.

Busslingers fluffed a couple of kicks which is unlike him, but he?s been rock solid defensively under enormous pressure in that first qtr with the ball streaming in with no pressure

His defensive craft is very very good he?s just still not strong enough obviously so can get bodied out of it but his craft, considering his slight build - is very impressive.

For mine he looks like a traditional full back who can run and get involved, I?m very very high on him but he will be a slow burn. These types don?t hit their straps til mid 20s.

I?d love him to have an extra burst of speed, he doesn?t but it?s not the end of the world because he?s so smart and reads the play well. Weitering is treacle slow too.

The problem is he will get absolutely toasted in our AFL backline because of our ridiculously shit structure and the way we play pushing so ridiculously high and hanging our defenders out to dry out the back when we turn it over and the only chance they have is Liam Jones like speed to get back and try and save our ass time and time again. It?s just not sustainable and you?d basically need prime Jones, Moore and Barrass down there to make it work. But that?s a subject for another thread

He needs to play in a more traditional defence which holds their line a bit deeper than our all or nothing high press bullshit

HT Swans 6.5 Dogs 2.4. We weren’t able to fully take advantage of the wind but managed a better team game. Having no tall players fwd hasn’t helped. Leaving the ground now for the big dance at Marvel. Before I go, just a comment on Baker. Altho his DE would be less than palatable, you can’t question his determination to help his team.

Have always liked the look of Craig-Peters but has had limited involvement... he's having a great year through the guts.

Some of the decision making from the vfl listed players has been very poor. We are lacing out swans players when we go inside 50.
