So based on what Smads said and some information from the training session today it looks like from Friday nights team, Freijah, Harmes and McNeil can be added to the side but this is balanced out by the likes Sanders, Coffield and JJ who won't be available as I understand it.
This suggests JJ will play but obviously not out of the question the HUN has it wrong:
Jason Johannisen is hoping he can secure another one-year deal at the Western Bulldogs but will retire as a one-club Norm Smith Medallist rather than move to another club.
His long-term manager Jim Marinis said on Tuesday Johannisen, who has battled injury all year, was not interested in moving elsewhere if his Dogs career came to a close.
He is still playing VFL finals this weekend after missing most of the season with hamstring and calf issues.

I thought it might be a chance for JJ given he trained with us and now given his manager indicates discussions won't happen to after the VFL campaign is over it sort of locks it in that he will play for Footscray.

I didn't think he would qualify as he didn't play a single VFL game during the home and away season (6 game minimum), but the VFL finals rules are mysterious.

There might be a rule on minimal AFL games to counter act.

As already mentioned a few times there is apparently a no more than 12 AFL games and at least 6 VFL games rule. There seem to be other rules at play though that aren't well publicised.
