Geez all these players we’re being linked to are uninspiring. Lindsay is way too outside to have a meaningful impact on our defence. Thredgold with our 1st is a massive reach, especially since we’re getting Darcy. NHH is way too untidy with his field kicking to be anything other than a small forward imo (and do we need to spend yet another 1st on a forward?)

If there’s a slider then great, otherwise I hope we live trade out

It could be a massive first night of the 2025 AFL Draft, with up to 27 selections and nine(!) bids set to feature. Here's who ESPN has going in the first round.

ESPN has us taken Lindsay if that happens I'll be stoked.

I have no issues in taken Thedgold but in the second round.

And most tend be overly inclined to address needs (KPD) over best available where you would have to take Lindsay or Taylor I think.

Yeah that seems like a silly decision haha if he landed at our 2nd pick, then no issues. But we’d just be adding him to JOD & Buss and fixing nothing for next year

All the teams with * next to it should be impacted with matching bids so I'm thinking we have the 3rd or 4th pick on the second night.
It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out. Even Dons late 1st could be swallowed up by a Sweid bid.
easiest way to think about the 2nd round but likely not perfect is to just match the picks with their academy kids:

    suns - definitely swallowed up
    Roos
    Roos
    Dons - Sweid
    Suns - Addinsall
    Suns - swallowed up /Murray/Coulson
    Dons - El Achkar
    Swans - King
    Swans - Kyle/Carmichael
    Dogs

Blake Thedgold is another I'm interested in he is ranked 30 on Twomey rankings. Would jump at him in a heart beat with our second pick.

You have inspired me to have a closer look at those 4. I've looked a lot at Taylor and a bit at Dovaston but nothing much with the other two.

    Good effort by the way.

Just out of curiosity, if you had to narrow our range down to 4 players for our pick who would they be? ie any surprises?.
As for Dovaston I'm torn between him and Oscar Taylor. It would be a flip of the coin for me happy with either
