Is it a genuine factor or just preference?
I'm not seeing the logic in ruling out all interstate players early in the draft unless they play key position.Leave a comment:

The go home factor I would be happy to push that aside if it meant getting a key defender. I'm hoping Therdgold gets to our second pick.

It's very likely someone projected in the top 10 might slide.
Is there something specific about Phillipou that does appeal when compared to other two?Leave a comment:

Would prefer the last two. I wonder if someone like Josh Lindsay will slip he seems to be slipping down the order everytime I look I'm not sure why? Maybe clubs see him as full time half back or wingman and don't think he will become a midfielder.Over the last couple of days I've started to have a closer look at some of the players that might be in our range
Here is 3 names to consider.
Jevan Phillipou - An athletic midfielder or forward and at 183cm he's a bit shorter than his brother Matteas.
He's very athletic and seems to have good skills off both feet. Like his brother he doesn't lack confidence which might be off putting with clubs.
Oskar Taylor - A super quick smaller defender at 182cm who has a penetrating kick.
He was a star at the combine and had a great year for the Ranges. He's an attacking defender who might need to improve on some his defensive skills.
Blake Thredgold - An athletic taller defender who at 194cm can play on a wide range of opponents.
His ability to switch roles and quickly moving from defensive to attacking traits really stands out. He's very good in 1 v 1 contests.

Depends where Dean is likely to be bid on I guess. They would want to get a pick in front of that and then trade what they are left with for more points.Leave a comment:

Either of Carlton’s picks would be the only picks available I’d suggest. Hawks potentially would put their 1st up for sale but I doubt they’d want a pick in this years draft backLeave a comment:

If we were to trade 14 and 33 to move up what pick would we be aiming for? Somewhere around 7-10?Code sports:
The Bulldogs had been exploring a potential move up the draft order by packaging up their first two picks, but nothing was locked in during the trade period at least. Regardless, the club believes there will be some “exciting and diverse” talent available to it. The Dogs could do with another young key defender to develop and should get that in father-son prospect Will Darcy, who is the son of Luke and brother of Sam. Exactly where a bid comes for the raw but promising 198cm tall isn’t completely clear, but it is likely to be after the Bulldogs’ second pick as it stands. So, if the Dogs retain their first pick where it is, they could look to add some outside run and class, with players like Woodville-West Torrens midfielder-forward Jevan Phillipou, Eastern Ranges rebounding defender Oskar Taylor, Sturt wingman Harley Barker or Dandenong Stingrays forward-midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves being potential options.Leave a comment:

I believe there are 3 NGA players and 1 father son that are likely to go before our pick so worst case scenario should be pick 18.
Carlton currently hold 9 & 11 and have Harry Dean as a possible top 10 pick. Might depend what happens with those picks and where Dean is likely to go as they may look to trade up to get a pick before a bid.👍 1Leave a comment:

So where's pick 14 likely to actually end up? Pick 30!? What a joke.Leave a comment:
