It's been reported that Trent Bianco won't be with us next season, he's apparently off to Box Hill I think
He was close to being good enough to become a regular senior footballer

It must be hard for those guys trying to get a second chance when then can't always play in there preferred positions to showcase I'm worth another shot.

Agreed, the temptation might be to go to clubs like Port Melbourne and play more in your preferred position.

Was really surprised we didn’t pick him up in the mid season draft this year. Played some really good footy before then seemed to drop off after the draft.

I guess the injury to O'Driscoll meant we were looking more for a genuine small forward and that's why we went for Rypstra.

Bianco is a decent footballer but my problem with him was hurt factor , i maybe wrong but to me he appeared to lack that explosiveness , that you would , his kicking was good but he wasn't a penetrating kick hence why the pies let him go , all in all the step up from reserves football to senior football may have been a little to great for him , but i wish him all the best .

That's an accurate assessment of Bianco.
Really close to being an AFL player but lacks some point of differences that most players need.

Agree with this, he's a 'neat' footballer but I'm not sure he has a real point of difference that would push him ahead of others on our list. Good luck to the kid

There's a lot of guys who are great at VFL level but can't step up to be particularly impactful at AFL level. Most recently we had Robbie McComb. Bianco is probably a very good VFL player rather than a decent AFL player, and if that's his level, that's his level. A neat player but just lacking something.

Agree like many have said very good VFL player but just lacking that extra something to be a good AFL player.
