Good to see Reid back from injury.

I'd be suprised if Boumann started forward, but I hope he does get a go up there at some stage during the game.

Cordy is out so the CHF spot is free for him.

Cordy didn't play last week and he still played down back all game. Willy has promoted Meyer as an extra tall so Boumann probably will get a decent run at CHF.

Hoepfully that's the plan, and they don't use Meyer as 2nd ruck so Shaw can get another crack at it.

Great news for Boumann, must be showing plenty of signs for Brad Gotch.

A bit worried about Roughy dropping back to the reserves.

He's been injured for a couple of weeks so he's obviously being eased back into it. Nothing to be worried about.

Is he still struggling from that knock he got at Werribee?

I thought it was the week before that when he injured himself. Either way he never played last week and I think it's a great chance to have another look at John Shaw.

He was injured against Werribee, when he went for a big pack mark. Speaking to someone close to him, I was told on the day that it was a 'big' corkie.

The reserves got a thumping but the firsts had a comfortable albeit scrappy win.

                      Williamstown 11.19 (85)
                      Box Hill Hawks 9.8 (62)

                      GOALS:
Williamstown: Joyce 2 Galea 2 Stretton 2 Wight O'Keefe Boumann Gotch Johnson
Box Hill Hawks: Dew 3 Yze 2 Lisle Pedersen Iles Stokes

                      BEST:
Williamstown: Jolley Skipper O'Keefe Everitt Davies Stretton
                      Box Hill Hawks:
Kiel Yze Tuck Kenna Whitecross Dew

                        Re: Williamstown vs Box Hill

Just a few of my observations from today:

Everitt: Played off a HBF. Was on Dew for most of the first half and he gave him a bit too much space early but was being creative going the other way. I was really pleased with Everitt's game today, he found the ball and got himself into the game. His kicking was extremely valuable in blustery conditions. I like him a lot more when he is attacking off a wing/HBF than when he has to negate. I think he would add more to our team than Eagle.

GOK: Found the ball and was creative but the most pleasing aspect of his game was his intensity. He is a clever player and I think he could fit into our side playing off HF. Really hope he gets a chance against Freo and/ore WCE.

Stack: Bias aside, I really liked his game. He isn't an accumulator but he got enough of it and added spark as a link player off the wing. His disposal let him down a few times but it was a pleasing performance in context of what you want from an AFL player.

Skipper: He was good in the ruck and dominated around the ground. He is a star at VFL level.

Boumann: Kicked a ripper from the boundary. He played up the ground a lot more than usual and demonstrated some very pleasing raw attributes. His decision making is continuing to grow and he keeps on giving comrade reasons to get excited. I really think he is the type of player who will be more suited to AFL conditions.

Callan: Not his best performance, he was caught out of position a few times. His workrate automatically carries him to a decent game at this level. He ran all day and consistently provided a link up option.

Addison: Worked hard but struggled to get himself into the game.

Wood: Started well enough but he really got lost a in the backline a few times. Not sure of what role he can play for us.

Shaw: I like the look of him. A pure ruckman but is decent enough around the ground and up forward. Has a strong ability to win a hit-out.

                          Good assessment, RJ.

I really need to control myself when Boumann goes on one of his dashing runs.

Thanks Rocco, just a quick one, was Addison playing across half back or in the midfield?
