APS School Football – Round 9

    SKC 18.17.125 def GGS 5.13.43

    SKC Best:
    T Liberatore, N Cooke, M Stafford, L Roberts, J Griffiths, N Murphy
Goals: Stafford 4, Conway 3, Castricum 2, Fricot 2, Purcell, Griffiths, Liberatore, Cooke, Cachia, Jones, Keely

    GGS Best: B Nielsen, B Macleod, K Devlin, C Walter, T Davis, S Neville
    Goals: B MacLeod 2, B Smedts, B Howarth, D Coward

Liberatore continues his strong run of form with another BOG performance.

No sign of Mitch Wallis in the bests or goals – it’s possible he had a quiet game but any chance he was rested after a big month of TAC Cup football?

Unfortunately, no details from the Scotch game, other than they had an 8 point win over Wesley.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Thanks again Comrade. Pretty repetetive this BOG stuff from Wallis and Libba. I'm almost tired of it

      Bottom age, as well.

Imagine what it's going to be like next year when they're the big dogs (pun intended)

Yeah, people like Eddie McGuire will criticse the father-son rule for giving clubs which aren't theirs an unfair advantage.

I'm looking forward to watchig these boys develop. At this stage, they couldn't have done too much, if anything, at all more to be more impressive. You can sense some excitement around the names Wallis and Liberatore again.

Is Smedts any relation to Alby?
There was a Jesse Smedts doing the rounds a couple of seasons back.

Just got a txt from a mate at Wesley, saying that Jones tore the game to shreds and is an absolute gun.

            Commence movement.

Yep, Billy Smedts is Alby Smedt's 3rd or 4th son. Has played the last couple with Geelong Falcons and will return there after school footy finishes in 2 weeks time. Another one to watch out for during the TAC Cup finals series.

                    Get on the Jones-train.

Bet he doesn't. Collingwood have a whole raft of potential father/sons coming up.

Funnily enough, that number was enough to get J. Brown over to Brisbane.
