TAC Cup Future Stars Phantom Draft

    1 - Melbourne: Tom Scully
    2 - Melbourne: Jack Trengrove
    3 - Fremantle: Anthony Morabito
4 - North Melbourne: Dustin Martin
5 - West Coast: Kane Lucas
    6 - Richmond: John Butcher
    7 - Sydney: Gary Rohan
    8 - Hawthorn: Ben Cunnington
    9 - Essendon: Koby Stevens
10 - Port Adelaide: Luke Tapscott
    11 - Carlton: Allen Christiensen
    12 - Brisbane: Jesse Crichton
    13 - Adelaide: Jake Carlisle
    14 - Collingwood: Nathan Vardy
15 - Western Bulldogs: Daniel Talia
    16 - Geelong: Andrew Moore
17 - St Kilda: Jordan Gysberts

For those in the know, how does this Talia bloke go? Appears to be a midfielder, with a bit of class about him, based on the highlights shown.

Other than Butcher going higher, they appear to have done a good job. Thoughts?

Talia is a tall versatile player who got picked as the CHB after the U18's championships. There is a lot to like about him and he is the grandson of our Premiership ruckman Harvey Stevens. He plays for the Cannons.

I'd prefer Gysberts to be honest. Our midfield lacks polish, and he's a smooth mover.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Might be a different guy, this one played for Queensland.

None of the guys you listed played for Queensland and the record I have shows Talia as playing for Vic Metro.

Talia is definitely a key position player from Calder.

Said it before, I'll say it again...when they call out Tom Scully's name, I'll shed a tear.

Sorry guys, they must have shown the wrong highlights in his little segment.

I've got my eye on Mitch Duncan, and if he slips to our pick as they suggest, then we should take him in a heartbeat.

He's a fine player. Great skills and a good decision maker.

I'll list some players in groups over the the next few days for discussion. These won't necessarily be top 10 or even first round candidates.

Jack Fitzpatrick - 201cm from the Western Jets.
Daniel Talia - 195cm from the Calder Cannons.
Jake Carlisle - 196cm from the Calder Cannons
Nathan Vardy - 198cm from the Gippsland Power
John Butcher - 197cm from the Gippsland Power
Ben Griffiths - 197cm from the Eastern Ranges

Should we have one merged 2009 draft thread - would it make it easier to keep track of?

I doubt he will get an invite.
