I may be the only one whos happy to read this, i think hes got something special about him, but he neds to show it more often. Hopefully the club give him another year, and hopefully he stays injury free for a change.

I think anyone who has seen him play for Williamstown would acknowledge his talent but I think they would also say that he hasn't done enough towards reaching his potential. A perceived shallow draft could quite possibly save him. I won't be upset if he gets delisted because he has tended to coast through rather than push himself.
A real coin flip to see if he stays on.

I'd say every single person on this board would be delighted to hear this. One position we really need filled is a small forward who can crumb goals and apply pressure.

Just on that it was reported that Aaron Davey has yet to re-sign with the Demons. Someone with his talent would be handy.

If we are turning over 5-6 players then he's probably going to be better value than a 5th rounder in this draft.

I'm a huge Lynch fan also, but the coaches will make their decision based on whether they think Lynch wants it enough - Does he really want to be an AFL footballer

                Thanks for the reports guys.

Seems like we may go in un-changed, perhaps Williams a chance.

Good to hear the kids in Wood, Stack and Lynch had good games. Watching how our list develops and really starts to take shape next year is going to be very interesting. Lots of blokes who should be aiming to play a lot of senior footy.

Disappointing end to the year for Hill, hopefully he can keep himself up and have a really big pre-season. I'd really like to see him get super fit and be given an extended run on the wing next year.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

With the apparent trouble finding Lake room in the salary cap I've rule us out of any big name signings this post season. Unless a few players retire or leave.

It isn't trouble with room it is trouble with a difference of opinion on years.

Fantastic reports all year to all concerned, special mention to Comrade! A very dissapointing finish to the year for Williamstown I thought there were to many changes made in this game. Should'nt have dropped Roughead, Hill looked like he did'nt want to be there and Williams and Boumann were rotated like midfielders. The forward line was to small and Gotch should have made a change. Could have left Williams at chb and pushed Boumann forward to give them a tall target! All in all a very flat game from the seadogs with a few exceptions.

Re: Williamstown vs Collingwood - Semi Final

I compiled a few stats of the 12 seadogs playing,
Here's a quick synopsis of what i gathered:

                        Skipper: 12k, 7hb's, 6 marks, 2contested marks, 3 turnovers from kicks (1 resulted in a goal), 2 tackles

                        Bouman: 8k, 6hb's, 2m's, beaten twice in contested 1 on 1's, 1 turnover via a kick, 2 t.o's via hand, 1 soft attempt, 1 tackle, 3 spoils

                        Everitt: 7k, 3hb's, 3m's, 1 contested mark, 2 goals, 4 t.o's from kicks, 2 second efforts, 6 soft efforts, 2 tackles

                        Stack: 9k's, 9hb's, 4m's, 2cm's, 2 behinds, 2 soft attempts, 1 tackle, 1 spoil

                        Lynch: 11k's, 8hb's, 2m's, 7 tackles, 1 goal assist,

                        White: 2k's, 5hb's, 1m, twice beaten in marking contests, 1 t.o from a kick, 1 t.o from hand, 1 second effort/chase, 1 tackle, 1 assist, 1 spoil

                        Tiller: 3 k's, 2hb's, 2m's, 1 t.o from a kick, 2 second efforts/chase, 2 tackles

                        Wood: 15 k's, 3hb's, 5m's, 4 contested marks, 1 t.o from a kick, 1 tackle, 1 assist and 1 spoil

                        Addison: 5k's, 6hb's, 1mark, beaten once in a contested mark, 2 t.o's via kicks, 1 tackle, 2 spoils,

                        O'Keefe: 13k's, 4hb's, 1mark, 3 t.o's from kicks, 1 soft attempt, 1 tackle, 1 assist,

                        Hill: 6 k's, 7hb's, 3marks, 1 behind, beaten twice in marking contests, 2 t.o's via kicks, 1 t.o via hand, 1 second effort/chase, 4 soft attempts, 2 tackles, 1 assist

                        Williams: 4k's, 5hb's, 4 marks, 2 contested marks, 3 errors, 1 turnover via hand, 1 soft attempt, 1 tackle, 2 spoils

These are my records not the broadcaster or the statiticians so they may differ. I think they are about 90% accurate and they probably reflect the way i saw the game. I noticed the ABC called Lynch and Stack wrong on a few occasions so i don't think their stats were correct either.

Cyberdoggie- Thanks for the stats. Didn't Williams get beaten in a marking contest at least once in the final qrter?

You're probably correct there. I think i missed a few of the cm stats as the game went on as i tried to focus on the soft attempts, turnovers and errors. Overall i think Tom was ok in his marking, just made some bad judgement errors as is typical with Tom.

Unfortunately i didnt get to the game untill late. Couldnt believe it when i got the the game to see Boumann, Tiller and Everitt starting on the pine, some of the better preformers over the last few weeks and they are all the the bench..
Very dissapointing end to the year for the willi boys
