Re: WA and SA WOOFERS
This young guy played his first league game for Glenelg last week, and did very well if anyone is looking for a fierce tackling onballer/forward pocket.
Disclaimer, me and a whole bunch of mates are his player sponsor at Glenelg..
Is an awesomely top bloke, and club favourite among players and fans.

Re: WA and SA WOOFERS
According to some bloke:
includes
Patrick McCarthy (11 March 1992, 194cm, 79kg, South Australia): Tall, spindly defender who plays more as a flanker than a key-position player despite his height. Good leadership material. Loves to run downfield.

and
Sebastian Tape (6 August 1992, 189cm, 78kg, South Australia): Defender who’s more reliable than old boots. Clubs seeking a backman in the Dale Morris mould will look at him.

Re: WA and SA WOOFERS
Among the other Glenelg players that I think may be in contention for drafting are
Matthew Snook (small onballer, but fierce at the ball. Can kick goals as well)

Lewis Hender (still underage but may go to GWS next year) (and I don't rate him as he fades in and out a lot, and appears to have concentration problems, but so did Chad Cornes at his age) a power forward.

Re: WA and SA WOOFERS
Darcy Armfield (power forward, made his league debut on the weekend. Definitely has mongrel in him, able to kick multiple goals, has been invited to the draft combine but hopefully wont be able to go)

Brad Agnew ( state u18 captain)

Ben McIntyre made the state u18 team as well so i guess he will be discussed as well. A goal scoring wingman.

Re: WA and SA WOOFERS
Nice work T&T.
It really looks like Glenelg have a great chance of getting 3 or 4 kids drafted in the national this year, which would be a great effort.
McCarthy is a certainty and likely to go fairly high, and Tape and Snook are both guys that have very good chances.
I think SA will potentially have quite a good showing in this years field.
Day
Smith
Polec
Gorringe
Lycett
are all very good chances for the first round.
Schiller and Gray are 2 other guys that I think are a chance to go in the first 3 rounds.Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?Comment

Re: WA and SA WOOFERS
As from a few posts back.
Under 18 state player, only played one or two games, after the carnival played reserves and dominated, and one league game, i'm guessing he's kicked 50- 60 goals this year thru the grades.Darcy Armfield (power forward, made his league debut on the weekend. Definitely has mongrel in him, able to kick multiple goals, has been invited to the draft combine but hopefully wont be able to go)
Not overly tall, but seems pretty quick on his toes and is built like a brick sh*t house
A bit hard to compare him to someone, maybe a stronger version of Ballantyne.
Definitely a dynamic, strong player, with a great ability to lead/mark and kick goals. Very exciting player to watch.
At a guess would be about 6 foot tall.Comment

Re: WA and SA WOOFERS
Well Seb Tape has played one league game for Glenelg, and was best on for us in that one game
But barracking for Glenelg is a bit like barracking for the dogs, we went out in straight sets this year, for the second year in a row.Comment
