I still would like to pick up Talia as our first pick #15 - but suspect Carlton who get him first.

It was a toss up for me between Reid and Grimes for #31

I still like the sound of Duryea for pick #63

and as for pick #79 - Nick Lawless.

Hooper's attitude coupled with his ability amazes me how he even got on a list in the first place.
Still couldn't get his hands on the footy often enough and lacks a decent tank. Would only re-draft if there was precious little left in the pool.

I don't agree with that, but they are both bottom of the barrel players who i wouldn't consider with our third pick in the draft. Hooper has done more at AFL level. I must admit that i am basing my judgement on his 2008/07 form(plus he did have a good start to 2009) and having two daughters who are Brisbane members we watch every game(and he is a personal favourite of one of them).

Stop talking up Norwood players, and i'll stop talking up Glenelg players

My entire opinion on Sheppard comes from watching 4 videos. I couldn't stop myself thinking I was watching Sam Power. 20m chip kicks sideways - Arrggghhhhhh!

Wage might be a factor. Hooper was rumoured to be on 300k a season with Brisbane - unbelievable I know. Having said that I believe his 2010 salary (I think he still has another year to run on his Brisbane contract) will be primarily paid by Brisbane, so the wage demands would be less of a factor for any new club that picks him up; but he will still command more coin than Lynch in the open market.

By contrast Lynch would be delighted just to be on a list next season. I'd rookie him if he was still available. From all accounts, the penny finally started to drop towards the end of this season, so he understands that his career is hanging by a thread. Plus with 3 years on an AFL list, and with a hopefully strong pre-season under his belt, he would in theory have more impact at the higher level than our other rookies if we happen to hit a significant injury hurdle in 2010.

Wow, how did he end up on that sort of money. More than likely he will put himself in the PSD and end up at Richmond(they went after him 2 years ago).

Where do people see Lynch playing, small forward or outside runner?(or something else).

And what other small forwards will be available around the pick 79 mark?

Much like yourself, my opinions are based off video.

I think he really struggles kicking long, on the run at full pace. He kicks them really up and under and the balls lack penetration and float pretty high. Over the shorter distances of say 35-40m and less, he does these beautiful, deft little passes that get to the right spots, and are perfectly weighted.

If he could sort out his longer, on the run kicking he'd be very dangerous I think.

And I can't say I overly noticed the sideways kicking, but hey, we switch the play a lot, maybe he could be our designated sideways kicking, play switcher?

What are some of the more dedicated draft watchers opinions on Griffiths? Worth a punt at perhaps our second or first rounder or is there too much risk?

He's got more attention than what he has probably actually earned. He's a good prospect but I wouldn't take him with our first round pick although I keep reading he is in the mix.
He's got good size and he is a solid mark and has a long kick but the times I have seen him he hasn't shown enough. He's also struggled a lot with injuries.
Fits the bill for our needs but I think there will be better players still available.

That would be a great outcome. Plenty of ability and fitting our needs nicely.

It comes down to needs. For a contending team that has a spot that he is suited for he would be ideal.
