Interesting that they're playing home games at Burbank Oval. I thought that due to redevelopment they were going to play at the Whitten Oval.

They can't play on the Whitten Oval because it's a requirement to have permanent fencing.
It's unlikely that it will happen

The Williamstown president has mentioned in the clubs latest newsletter that some home games later in the season WILL be played at the Whitten Oval during the 2010 season.
        Looking forward to it already.

That's good news. They were hoping to get the VFL to bend the rules but on a radio interview late in the season he didn't sound confident.

Really? Actually one of the guys i work with plays for Werribee and he asked me to go that night.
He said they had done a lot to the ground lately.
I havent been there for just over a year now (job interview) and that was only upstairs at the bar during the week, pretty decrepid looking place i thought.

He was pretty chuffed about going to play on the Gold Coast and glad Tassie was gone.

I know this is a Williamstown fixture thread, but i thought id mention Werribee have done a lot of work at there ground, with the new lighting there its great to head along and watch the night games, i went to the earlier one this year and it was an awesome atmosphere and great game, a huge crowd was there as well....missed the later one tho cause i had to babysit.....

Am looking forward to heading along for the games next year as well....
