The mark and goal to put them back in front in the last was class.

Good story - glad he played well AND the Shockers won

Like most wanted the Dogs to pick him up years ago.
Watch him in the 2005 Granny and thought he would have been a better option than Bowden and Rawlings.
Hopefully Pods can have some success with the cats.

That was always the odd one - we didn't draft him because 'he had a couple of attributes that make us think he'd never be an AFL player' but there would've been loads on our list in the same boat.

Exactly right,we all knew he wasn't the quickest bloke going around, and definatly had a few drawbacks, but he was also the most dominate player i had seen in a long time at VFL level, and would make some AFL defenders look 3rd rate, just monster them, great pack mark, very smart forward who knew exactly where to run, and at a time where the Dogs were seen more as a fast running side, and had no real dominant type forwards to kick to, imo we could have got away with a player with his drawbacks, he would have been cheap as chips as well.

Not to be, and it's great that he's finally got himself a spot in the most dominate side over the past 4 years, would have loved to see how he went whilst in his prime.

I have no desire for Pods to be successful. As far as I'm concerned, he's just another Geelong player that I would rather couldn't get a kick.

Unless he's on your Supercoach team. Then you want him to score 150s every week except against the Dogs, and then not get a kick in Finals.
