This Willy team can certainly go when they flick the switch. Hopefully the Bulldog boys are amongst it.

Another 11 goal term for Willy! I couldnt imagine what would happen if they put in a full 4 quarter onslaught!

Nice to see Daniels in the bests again and Moles, where has Jones been lately he kicked a few bags and then hasnt kicked any these last 2 weeks.

Panos and Hooper seem to be travelling fairly well bobbing up for atleast 2 - 3 goals a game.

I would suggest there were not many at the seniors, seeing as the dogs game was on at the same time...doubt we'll be getting too many reports about it.

I went down to Coburg City Oval to catch a glimpse of the reserves and to find out if our first round draft pick from last year actually exists. I'm happy to confirm that he does.

Prato: He's a great athlete, who's getting better at actually playing like a footballer. Spent some time in both the ruck and up forward. He needs to work on his timing when jumping in ruck contests - he's got a huge vertical leap but missed the ball too many times. I thought he worked really hard today and had an influence around the ground. Good signs.

Mulligan: Dominated in defence - easily the most assured and confident game I've seen from him. Defended grimly with some well timed spoils and also took some solid contested marks in the Lake-mold. His disposal was clean, if lacking in nuance. He loves to belt the ball long; hopefully with experience he can continue to add some polish to his kicking.

Tutt: Started off the half back line and was lively - in fact, I thought he was stiff to not be named in the bests. Good hands at ground level, he's quite good at extricating himself from contested situations. He spent some time in the midfield, but I'd like to see him more with ball in hand higher up the ground and kicking in to the forward 50. Good game.

Howard: The bolter finally runs out for his first game. My first impression was that he's bigger in the torso than I thought. He lined up on the half back line (against Robbie Hicks) and struggled to get near it for most of the first quarter. His first involvement was a clean scoop in congestion and a bullet left foot kick to a running team mate - nice! He didn't see a lot of action for the rest of the game - he's clearly short of a run and came on and off the bench throughout the game - but he took a nice mark and showed off his laser boot a few times. He was moved onto the ball in the last quarter and got his hands on it. Certainly not a great game by any stretch, but he showed enough to suggest he's a talent.

Just a note on the reserves coach. I know GVG has been a wrap for him and I have to agree. He communicates really well and lets his players know exactly what's required. He wasn't happy at all with the endeavour of the team, despite being in front all day and let them know about it. They lifted in the last quarter and got over the line.
