With Jones being named first, does that mean he was the best Willy player?

He was the best from the perspective of whoever put in that report, however, having looked at the 'best' lists from VFL games over the years, their accuracy is at best marginal and generally of little relevance compared to how the MC would rate players. Not to say that Jones wasn't best on ground, he may well have been but these things can generally be taken with a grain of salt.

I brought a bib and a ballad to training yesterday, for Aker to give to his opponent today, but he wasn't there. Miffed, but will live to rhyme another day.

            Everitt kicking 3 is interesting.

Could he be a possible replacement for Williams if he misses, or even Stack? Darwin may not suit him though I guess.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

I think Tiller might be the more logical replacement for Williams if he is injured.

Good call - I like Tiller and think he can be a good option for us. How has his form been recently in your opinion?

Perhaps he could even allow Lake more time forwards.

Meanwhile poor old Everitt seems stuck finding an opportunity.

This is going to sound tough but I don't see him as much more than a depth player. He's a good VFL player but I don't think he can string enough games together in the seniors due to form or fitness to be a a good option. His last 2 weeks have been good.

I'd prefer Everitt by a fair way but I don't think the coach see's him as more than an option to cover Hargrave or Morris.

Saw Hooper get a register in the kicking column. What role and how greater, did he play today?

                      Liam Jones?

Like for like Tiller would replace Williams as Tiller is a defender.

If Hall is rested then Jones seems the logical replacement.

Did I read somewhere he played some of the game down back on the weekend?

                            I doubt it.

Willi had Tiller, Boumann, Mulligan & Faulks in defence so I doubt Jones spent much time (if any) in defence.

Reports I have seen suggest that Jones played at CHF and played very well in that role.

Everitt started in the ruck and did a good job but was then moved up forward.

He seems to be shoved all over the place so it's no wonder he hasn't settled in any one position.

"Nathan Eagleton (32 disposals), Brodie Moles (32) and Liam Jones in defence also pushed for Bulldog selection after strong performances yesterday."
