Calder Cannons vs Eastern Ranges (Wallis and Libba report)

A big win for Calder by 101 points.

    Wallis 3rd best for Calder.

Mitch Wallis (30 possessions and three goals), Tom Liberatore (27 touches, 14 handball receives and six tackles)

Tom didn't get into the bests. Obviously being the less flashy player in a rout might of had something to do with that but a good performance by both young bulldogs none the less.

I thought it was usually Mitch with the handball receives, exciting times ahead!

I know how the Father / Son current rules work, but is there interest in these two from other clubs ... i.e. are we going to have to use our first two picks this draft to secure them under the father/son rules??

Other clubs have had less interest than normal purely because they've expected us to take them from very early on.
There is no doubt, however, that we'll be made to use our first two picks on them, it will be implied amongst all the other teams that whoever has the pick before us nominates to ensure we use our first two picks.

This, therefore, means our first live pick will be in the 40s ??

              No, it will be 59. (Wallis pick 25 & Libba pick 42) or 22, 39 and 56.
