Re: Williamstown vs Northern Bullants - Prelim Final

Matt Little of all people drops a mark, Bullants get the ball and kick a goal.
I think we may be done with the way they are playing.

Think of the Dogs v Carlton game from this year, and that is what this game is like.
Thornton sitting in the back line, we bomb it straight to him, he marks it.

      Yep.

Would be extremely disappointing, especially given Willy have choked in the previous two finals series too.

And, bullants get the first of the last quarter.
29 points down, and is typical of the two clubs

            40 points.

            Pathetic, really.

Choking hard now. Willy kicks 1 of the last 10 goals. Jones, Davies & Faulks can hold their heads high, Tim Callan too. Lockwood's been fair, the rest of them not so much.

Surely they are not a chance?
Everitt bombs one from 50, two in a minute, and it's back to 28

                typical.
we get a chance, have the ball in the square, and it gets touched, The bullants go down, and Jacobs walks out of a ruck contest, gives it to Kerr who snaps one from the boundary...

Jacobs has been very impressive for the Bullants. Be interesting to see what happens with him in trade week.

Standing 5m behind the pack hoping that the ball will come over the top will make most kicks look bad. Horrible effort from him.

The way he responded to Phil Cleary in a post-match interview, he seems like he's going.

                        Agreed.

Pretty awkward response. If he leaves, he'll be a massive loss. I can definitely see him replicating Mumford's form in the next year or two. Not sure why Carlton kept going for Hampson over Jacobs late in the season - massive difference between the two.

Apparently there is a Carlton BF member who is a son of a Carlton coach, and is always on the money. Claims one of the SA are very interested and he is likely going back

At best he will be 3rd behind Kreuzer & Warnock.

Might be headed to one of the SA clubs who will be keen to grab a ruckman or 2.

Dre, Hill and Stack were so very disappointing today.

I have defended Everitt a lot but he was woeful after his impressive 1st quarter. If that's what he is going to serve up when a potential prelim spot is on the line, he really doesn't deserve to be in the 22 (sadly for us, the benchmark is low at the moment).

Hill gives us a great quarter of intensity here and there then just completely turns to water. Seems like he just has to be so very fired up to have a dip for any longer than a quarter. I really can't stand his approaching to marking contests, just always goes for the out the back option hoping his opponent drops it. I really think playing as a forward target for the Dogs hurt him but he has had enough time, his application is pathetic.

Stack is cooked. If he wasn't on our list would anyone be want us to look at him? No way for mine.

Kreuzer will likely struggle coming off a knee reconstruction and they were using him up forward quite a bit prior to injury. It allows Waite to be used in the back half. Bower was terrible in the last six or so weeks of the season so IMO that's where Waite needs to play.

Jacobs would be a good fit for Adelaide though, definitely makes sense for him to move on from his point of view.
