Hopefully winning premierships will become a habit for Mitch and Tom.

I haven't been this excited about the upcoming draft since 2003 when we got the surfer dude with the blonde mullet from Adelaide.

In real terms I don't think Libba was that far behind given the quality of his use of the ball was very good. Some great handballs at the bottom of the pack and some very precise kicks were a real feature.
He's capable of using the ball very well.

Out of today's game I think there is about 6 genuine first round draft selections even in a normal year. There were another group of 4 or 5 that will be strong draft choices as well.

Whilst he didn't get Wallis type numbers Heppell has a strong penetrating kick and would look great off a back flank or a wing.
Prestia has topped off a good season with some strong performances in the finals. Very capable of turning it on for 5 minutes and changing a game.

Is he a player we would look at especially considering the close connection with our F/S picks?

Wallis dominates TAC Cup grand final

Father-son AFL draft prospect Mitch Wallis powered his way to 47 possessions to guide Calder Cannons to a 58-point win in today's TAC Cup grand final against Gippsland Power.

The Martin Allison-coached Cannons claimed their sixth premiership in 10 years in the under-18 competition with a 17.14 (116) to 8.10 (58) victory at Etihad Stadium.

Leading by 27 points at half-time, the defending premiers piled on seven goals to Gippsland's two in the third quarter to lead by 10 goals at three-quarter time, with Wallis gathering 14 disposals for the term to decide the contest.

To me he's a certainty to go in the extended first round and that might be a difficult pick for us to obtain.

The knock on him is just his size and how much further improvement a club can get out of him. In Dalrymples brief time with us he has given the impression that he likes the guys with the upside and I'm not sure Prestia meets that. For a team with a strong list he would be an ideal addition.

Wallis, Libertore and Prestia are a great combination at the TAC level so it would be tempting to have a look at him if we had the right pick.
