    Re: 2010 AFL Draft Order

Does anyone know what happened with #73. All week it was said the we got Vezpremi and pick #73 but today it was change to #90.

I assume or later pick is used on the Hooper elevation. Correct?

Maybe we didn't plan on using 73 anymore as we didn't free up enough space on our list.
      The curse is dead.

My gut feeling is that the AFL website is incorrect.

AFL Space is showing it as 73, just going to ammend my initial post.

I hope we've been keeping a look out for potential late pick project type players, given our picks a so late in what is already a diluted draft pool we're going to need to uncover some hidden talent.

Not sure it's a big list of options, but IMO Braydon Lyle is confortably the best pick #124 in VFL/AFL history.

Much better seeing the priority pick at the end of the first round
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Anyone played around with the AFL Draft Machine?

                            AFL Draft Machine

For example, lets say you key in:

                            - (Position) Defender

                            - (Height) Medium Height

                            - (Skill Set) Kicking, Marking & Pace

Then click on search. Here's what came up:

                            Ben Jacobs
                            - An excellent grab with great core strength, the ability to run all day and good skills by hand. Can really find the ball and was outstanding at the 2010 NAB AFL U18 Championships, winning All-Australian honours and averaging 29 disposals at 69 per cent efficiency.

                            Billie Smedts
                            - Spectacular mark and a good user of the footy. Fully capable of getting his hands on the ball with his impressive speed and agility. Was a Vic Country NAB AFL U18 representative in 2010, playing three matches after returning from injury, averaging 11 disposals a game.

Dyson Heppell - Impressively strong player with smooth disposal skills and all-round ability. Was outstanding for Vic Country in the NAB AFL U18 Championships, winning MVP and All-Australian honours. Averaged 20 disposals at 75 per cent efficiency and four tackles.

That was just the top 3. It does 10.

Pretty cool concept, even if you just want to find a player who fits into a height/position category
