Re: Round 1 - Williamstown vs Werribee

Prior to the season starting, I thought Josh would be the perfect sub as he is versatile enough to play across the field.

Kudos to Rocket and the MC for giving him the opportunity to carve out a role further up the field and well done to Josh for grabbing it. The key now is to kick on and become a consistent performer.

    Automatic selection at the moment.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Hill out would be madness. He is finally showing the signs we have been waiting so long for from high, to drop him now would reek of negative reinforcement to positive behaviour. Pavlov would not approve.

Sorry to go on a tangent but did Barlow play the other night? If so, what role and how did he go?

          Yes you can

I'd be shattered if Hill was dropped to accomodate Gilbee and Lake coming in. Thought he was great on the weekend. Some of you my be getting confused with Stack. He's gone to ground a little easy in the two games so far, however he, as with Hill, has shown a great deal of promise. Hope they both continue but would doubt both, mainly Stack would last for the Pies game.

            Ha! Great post.

The last thing you want to do is piss off Ivan. I saw a video at uni where he was introducing bunnies to babies and just as the babies reached out in curiosity he would crash cymbals in their ears. I know he was trying to prove a point, but really?

I've seen that at uni too! Bit of a bastard, really.

He played on a wing... reports are that he was good in that role.

He'll be one of the first picked. He's gotten games in the past when in poor form because the MC rate his natural talent. Now that he is travelling as well as anyone in the team, he is a dead certainty to get an extended run at it.

I put those name up because they play off HBF (currently), a position where Howard could find himself in the team.

Yup - he tends to actually hit the ground from an aerial contest standing which gives him an advantage a couple of times per game.

Stack has an issue with going to ground but even he looks to have improved a bit this year.

Yeah, but that wasn't Pavlov guys. Pavlov had the dogs, Watson was the bastard. Little Albert was the kid afraid of white fluffy things.

Stack maybe, but Hill is playing all over the place and would not be in direct competition with Howard for a spot in the team.

And as per my post above Howard played on a wing.

Very pleasing to hear the positive description of Cordy's game.

I put no dispersions on either player. I also said Howard "could" play off a HBF.
