Thanks for the in-depth response (haven't quoted all of it) appreciate it.

Could be some merits to your suggestion for Reid as it's very difficulty to gauge where else he may fit in. Going to be interesting to hear how he progresses.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

GVG, has Minson's mobility improved at all? He looked dead slow last year and it is the thing that can really hold him back, particularly with the way the ruck position is going post sub rule.

It's a hard one to gauge but I can say from yesterdays effort that he pushed back deep and made spoils etc which indicated that his fitness was good. He's never going to be a jack in the box but he looked mobile enough

Slightly off topic sorry but was surprised to see Bouman bog for Box Hill yesterday. He seems to have enjoyed a changeof club.

I reckon he should try and reinvent himself as a running, pinch hitting ruckman in a bid to get back on a list.

With the new rules, a big man with his athleticism could be a handy acquisition.

Spoke to him at the Social Club Event late last year and he said that he had played HBF most of his junior career.

I hadn't been thinking of him as a defender, but I reckon he could be a bit of a Max Rooke, Campbell Brown type and play both off the HBF and also as a defensive forward at times.

He showed a couple of years ago that he can exert pressure well.

Now that I think of this it makes sense, and while he is not that quick, the tapes from his junior footy showed that he had good instincts in terms of getting the ball and then spreading from the contest with a bit of agility that also set up the run of other players.

Is Sam Reid too slow to play as a defensive forward? I guess if he is too slow for that, he is probably too slow to play off HBF anyway. I am massively worried about our forward defensive pressure, hopefully that will change tonight!

I think it was reasonably good for about half to 3/4 of the game.
There were periods were it noticeably dropped off, or more likely that certainly individuals started to get tired and lazy, unfortunately they are repeat offenders like Josh Hill, Brennan Stack.

Watching the video for a second time. Like to quote a passage of play where you think either player is being 'lazy?'

                      Players getting tired.
                      funny that!
