Good to see young Ward there , Schofield was there too he had some light strapping on his ankle nothing serious

Scrappy game for Williamstown , skills were down a bit , I was more up the forward pocket end but from what I could see Markovic was strong in the contest some good spoils also moved up the ground , Addison was solid , Howard showed some touches of class , Grant looks more and more like a thin vertical version of Milne - good with the snap on goal , low percentage with the set shot , Skinner was busy but his hands are too hard for an overhead mark he's good with a chest mark , Hooper was busy as well he spent some time in the midfield , Tutt was also rotated through midfield and forward worked hard for his possessions

If Lake was taken to hospital or was injured and taken off it happened in the first quarter , I got there after the start of the second

          .

I heard on the radio that Lake didn't play after quarter time due to an eye injury. I don't know how bad it is.

                Re: Williamstown vs Frankston

Probably 15 mins it happened to Lake, he played on for a few moments & then had to come off.

Thought Howard, Markovic & Roughead played well.

Vespremi did a few nice things & got on the score sheet numerous times, could be in for a senior gig some time soon.

Skinner started off really well & lead up nicely, but faded during the game.

Heard via the media that Lake had been scratched on his eye but no word on how bad it is. Taken to hospital and only released late in the afternoon. Bugger!

When it first happened he seemed to be fine, called the trainer out & then kept playing.

                        Very weird.

Perhaps he stayed on initally as he didn't want another week of negativity surrounding his performance and lack of mental strength?
More of an In Bruges guy?
