    2011 AFL National Draft

    The AFL have announced that the 2011 National Draft will be held on Thursday 24 November in Western Sydney.

              I wonder how many of the people who make comments like this has actually been through Western Sydney at any stage?

              My wife grew up in St Clair, which is about 15 minutes East of Penrith. She's turned out ok.

                  Never been to St Clair, but have been to and through W.Sydney many times - Blacktown, Rooty Hill, Mt Druitt not high on my holiday to-do list

                      I get what you're saying though.
                      There is a lot of rubbish that lives around Mt Druitt and Rooty Hill in particular, but the whole 'Western Sydney' thing is completely overblown.

                      Funny story though, the first time I visited my missus while she lived in St Clair, we went to Westfield Mt Druitt to do a bit of shopping and get some lunch. The second we walk inside there's a blue between two bogans in the escalator leading into the food court.

                      My wife simply said 'welcome to Mt Druitt'.

                      I replied 'I grew up in Werribee'.
